Putting the ‘Grand’ into Grand Touring, the Yamaha TRACER 9 GT takes middleweight sport touring to a new level. This tech laden all-rounder comes dripping with Yamaha’s sporting DNA, while proving a faithful companion with which to take on longer rides. As much at home on the twisties as it is the open road, the latest generation of this hugely popular model is the most polished yet.

Yamaha’s sporting heritage runs throughout the TRACER 9 GT, with the Deltabox frame and fully adjustable electronic suspension combining to create a motorcycle without compromise when you want to push hard on your favourite road. With its integrated riding modes and six-axis IMU controlled lean-sensitive rider aids, the TRACER 9 GT brings new levels of sophistication to the middleweight sports touring category. Yamaha’s third-generation quickshifter comes equipped as standard, allowing riders to effortlessly access the CP3 engine’s meaty mid-range.

Sports Cowl with Dual LED Hedlights

The broad, downward curving front cowl is equipped with dual LED headlights that underline the Niken GT’s sporty and dynamic character, and the dual position lights help to emphasise the strong and planted look of the dual front wheels. While YZF-R1 derived mirrors feature integrated LED turn signals to enhance the bold and futuristic looks.

Double External Upside-Down Front Forks

In order to achieve sport bike handling capabilities, the Niken GT’s maximum lean angle extends to 45 degrees, and this has been made possible by the use of the Ackermann dual axle steering mechanism, together with a cantilevered suspension system mounted to the outside of the wheels. The double “external” upside-down front forks are equipped with rebound and compression damping adjusters that enable the rider to dial in their ideal suspension set up, and the relatively narrow 410mm track contributes towards the Niken GT’s natural steering feel - as well as keeping overall width to a minimum.
